1. User Research and Discovery:
- Run discovery with stakeholders: requirements workshops, user interviews, competitor and heuristic reviews.
- Translate business goals and analytics into user problems, personas and journey maps.
- Define success measures for key user flows.
- Produce information architecture, user flows, wireframes and clickable prototypes for mobile and web products.
- Design complete flows including edge cases and empty, error and loading states.
- Iterate designs based on usability testing, analytics and stakeholder feedback.
- Create high-fidelity UI for web and mobile, following platform guidelines (Apple HIG, Material Design).
- Design responsive web applications and data-heavy admin / back-office screens (tables, filters, dashboards, forms).
- Apply client brand guidelines consistently across all touchpoints.
- Build and maintain Figma component libraries (components, variants, auto layout, design tokens).
- Document usage guidelines so developers and QA can reuse components consistently.
- Keep design components aligned with the front-end implementation.
- Prepare dev-ready specs (Figma Dev Mode or similar) with measurements, assets and interaction notes, linked to Jira tickets.
- Take part in sprint ceremonies (refinement, planning, demos) and estimate design effort.
- Review builds against designs (design QA) and log UI issues with the QA team.
- Design to WCAG 2.1 AA (contrast, touch targets, screen-reader labels, dynamic type).
- Plan and run usability tests and report findings with clear recommendations.
- Use product analytics and heatmaps to find drop-off points and propose improvements.
- Use AI tools to speed up research synthesis, ideation, copy drafts and prototyping, and share good practice with the team.
- Design AI-powered features and agent / chat interfaces, including trust, transparency and fallback states.
- Present design rationale and options to clients, PMs and senior management.
- Work closely with PMs, developers and QA across time zones.
- Keep design files, decisions and version history organised (Figma, Confluence).
